BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION
James A. Jones’ tenure with immigration law and procedure began at Florida State University College of Law. Attorney James is published in the Florida State Law Journal, “The Immigration Marriage Fraud Amendments: Sham Marriages or Sham Legislation?, 24 Fla. St. U.L. Rev. 679 (1997).”In 1997, Attorney Jones was selected through the United States Attorney General's Honor Attorney program to serve as a law clerk for the Immigration Court (1997-1999). He then served as an immigration prosecutor United States Immigration Naturalization Service (INS) and later with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as Assistant Chief Counsel from 1999-2020.
